We are a Thriving group within our wonderful town.
Droitwich is a town 6 miles to the north of Worcester, 20 miles from Stratford-on-Avon and 22 miles from Birmingham.
It has been occupied since well before Roman times and is renowned for its production of salt, which still bubbles to the surface in Vines Park. The River Salwarpe runs through, as does the newly restored Barge and Junction canal which was built to move salt all over the world.
We have a general monthly meeting at 2:30 at the Norbury Theatre on Friar Street on the 3rd Monday of each month as well as having a lively list of more specific interest groups and activities. Any new ideas, facilitators and members are always welcome!!!
Please Note Droitwich U3A is having an informal afternoon drop-in for members new and old on 28th April 2014 at the Community Hall, Droitwich. Non-members are also free to attend to find out more about what we do. This is an opportunity for Tea, Coffee and Cake (!) and to meet Group Leaders, or members, of our current interest groups.
This is in place of Monday 21st at the Norbury Theatre as there is no monthly meeting on Easter Monday.
The annual membership is very modest
Please note that all memberships are renewable on 1st April 2014.
To apply for membership go to the Contact page and send an email requesting an application form or attend one of the Monthly meetings
