GENERAL MEETINGS - Shoreham & Southwick U3A General Meetings take place on the last Friday of the month in SHOREHAM COMMUNITY CENTRE MAIN HALL. Please be there at 1.45 for 2 pm start. There is a charge of £1.50 for members and £2.50 for non-members.

SUN(Sussex U3A Network) Study Days

The start and finish times of study days vary depending on where these are being held. Application forms are usually available 6 weeks before each Study Day and are downloadable at click on the link to the SUN website or apply to Margaret Sharp on 01273-464106. PLEASE NOTE: All applications must be sent to the Study Day Administrator and NOT TO THE VENUE.

Fri Apr 25th 2014 Stained Glass in Sussex

Sussex has some wonderful examples of both traditional and modern stained glass, including stained glass designed by Sir Edward Burne-Jones in Rottingdean church. This illustrated talk provides an opportunity to discover more about this traditional art form and some of the hidden (and not so hidden) gems here in Sussex.

Many of our interest groups have been engaged in activities related to Sussex U3A Network's South Downs Project. You probably know what the groups you belong to have been doing - but what about other groups? This event will provide an excellent opportunity to find out.

The lost village of Tide Mills is located on the salt marshes between Seaford and Newhaven. This illustrated talk will tell us more about why the village developed, and the lives of its inhabitants, the last of whom left in 1939.
